Privacy Policy for Zodiac Daily

Zodiac Daily is a horoscope application intended for entertainment and personal reflection. Astrology is not scientifically proven to predict personal events.

1. Information you provide

Zodiac Daily does not require account registration and does not ask users to submit their name, email address, contacts, precise location, date of birth, payment information, or other personal profile information.

2. App preferences

Preferences such as a selected favourite zodiac sign, reading streak, reminder settings, and notification time may be stored locally on the user's device.

These preferences can normally be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

3. Advertising

Zodiac Daily uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Depending on the user's region, device settings, and consent choices, Google Mobile Ads may process information such as:

IP address;
device and advertising identifiers;
interactions with advertisements and the app;
diagnostic and performance information;
approximate location inferred from an IP address.

Users in applicable regions may be presented with privacy and consent choices before advertisements are requested. Users may later be given an option inside the app to review or change those choices.

4. Firebase services

Zodiac Daily uses Google Firebase services, including Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions, to store and deliver daily horoscope readings and operate the application's backend.

The app does not create personal Firebase user accounts. Technical information may be processed by Google when the app communicates with Firebase services.

5. Horoscope generation

Daily horoscope content may be generated on the application's backend using astronomical calculations and OpenAI services. No user-entered personal profile information is sent to OpenAI for generating the general zodiac readings.

6. Notifications

Users may choose to enable daily reminder notifications. Notification preferences are used only to schedule requested reminders. Users can disable notifications through the app or Android system settings.

7. Data sharing

Zodiac Daily does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate the app, including Google Firebase, Google AdMob, and OpenAI, in accordance with their respective policies.

8. Data security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect information, including encrypted network connections where supported. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Data retention and deletion

Zodiac Daily does not maintain personal user accounts or a personal-profile database. Locally stored preferences remain on the device until they are cleared or the app is uninstalled.

Third-party providers may retain technical and advertising information according to their own privacy and retention policies.

10. Children's privacy

Zodiac Daily is not specifically directed at children under 13. The app should not be used to submit personal information about children.

11. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated when the app's features, advertising practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
